Our Philosophy

We are fortunate to live in a time when we have access to an incredible wealth of information sources to help us make informed decisions about our health care. Unfortunately, in this environment it is easy to be misled. There is a lot of hype out there - and not enough facts - about questionable treatments and medications that are certainly profitable for practicioners, but not necessarily safe, effective, or proven for patients.

Many take advantage of the information highway by promoting expensive products and gimmicky procedures that don't even work. Even worse, some of these may have detrimental effects. This website tries to cut through the information overload and educate you about what works and what I, as a plastic surgeon, honestly think the advantages and disadvantages of the available procedures and treatments are.
