RhinoplastyRhinoplasty, or surgery of the nose, can make a subtle or very dramatic difference in the way your face looks. Many aspects of the nose can be altered. Most commonly, the bridge of the nose is changed, reducing a full nose or shaving down a hump. Very low bridges can be augmented, producing a more refined nose. Other changes which can be made are make the tip of the nose narrower, smaller, or better defined. If you have had trauma to your nose, it can be straightened. If you have difficulty with breathing, it can be improved. At your consultation, the inside and outside of your nose will be examined. Make sure to mention any problems with allergies, difficulty breathing, or history of trauma to your nose. Bring photos of noses that you like to help clarify what you want from your rhinoplasty. Finally, photos of your nose will be altered at your consultation so that the best outcome of your appearance can be identified. Most importantly, any changes to your nose should be right for your face; a cookie-cutter approach should never be used. |
